You do? I spent many an hour playing that as a young child! It must have been around 2001-2003 when I was playing, so that sounds about right. I googled the release date: 1999!

Yes I remember when It was booting up, I'd go Into the kitchen and make a cup of coffee. On my return It booted Into the Windows environment, and sometimes I still had to wait until all running processes, services etc finished loading.

The reason I remember the game, Is because my friend's kids were very young at the time and that's all they played. I've just Googled It now too and you're right, It was released In 1999. I actually thought It was later. I also remember "My Little Pony" on CD that was compatible with Windows 95.

My, a mere toddler at the time, once decided to mash on all the keys while it was booting up... The machine, henceforth, broke. That was the end of that one. xD I don't think he recalls what PCs used to be like, or knows the sound of dial up!

Oh goodness me, the good old dial-up. For me, It used to disconnect every 4 hours or so and I couldn't use the landline at the same time.

I remember I was so happy when I hit a download speed of "58Kbps". Nowadays, I'd cry If I had that speed.

Good choice.

Personally, I didn't mind Windows 8 (wasn't on my list of priorities, but was OK), but Windows "8.1" was terrible. Consumers were complaining of the missing Start Menu (they disliked the Start Screen) and Microsoft Introduced a Start "button" that navigated directly to the Start Screen anyway. It completely defeated the purpose.

I used to use Windows 7, then switched to Debian Linux because I hated the new Windows 8 and 10, then switched to FreeBSD because FreeBSD is much more stable, clean, and better than any linux distribution in my [b]personal opinion[b]. Jails allows me to test software that I may not want, and still keep my base OS clean and tidy. It is also easier to install than Debian and most linux distributions that I have tried before, as FreeBSD is an entire operating system. Since it is an entire operating system, it may be less modular, but it is more packed together and therefore everything works well together. FreeBSD can be a pain in the ass to configure (especially on my laptop, which I am using right now), but the hard work of fixing my sound, display, graphics, and networking was worth it. I recommend you, and other linux users, to switch to FreeBSD.
