I too like Windows 7.
Very clean and easy to navigate.
I came, I saw, I conquered.

I had Ubuntu 14.04 (upgraded to 14.10 later) on my Notebook and I had big performance issues.
Unity not running well as well as lags and freezes (never had that on this hardware with ANY kind of OS).
Now i switched back to Arch Linux and installed Unity and it is running better than it did natively under Ubuntu.
Also, I don't see anything Ubuntu offers me which Arch doesn't (except outdated packages in the official repos maybe...)

Calling Windows simple and Linux complex is funny to me. I find Linux much easier to work with than my Win8.1 machine.

Couldn't agree more.
It takes some effort to get into, but once you got used to it things are so much simpler.
People just seem to think Windows is easier because it is more spread and people start using it from the very beginning of their computer experience.

My favorite operating system would probably be Crunchbang or ArchLinux.
