[Dismas]

This might sound like an odd pick,
but one of the best animes i ever saw was fullmetal alchemist.
Its about two boys who are brothers, their mother dies.
Then they use alchemy to try to resurrect her to life.
But instead, it almost kills one of the boys,
but they trap his soul inside a harness.
So he basically is nothing more than a dead person,
with his soul trapped inside a a harness.

It is also a very jovial and fun anime, and awesome in many ways,
but it deals with the more difficult aspects of life, such as losing someone you love.
But also happiness, humor and light hearted joy.

Do you prefer Brotherhood? I watched both, so they kind of blend together in my memory. Generally when I ask, people tend to prefer Brotherhood.

The original series is the only one i saw.

I highly recommend watching Brotherhood. I didn't see the big deal, but they are pretty different.
