yes i am planing to use it both , i will root asus now and try to install custom rom now..hehe..its been long that i left all this thing doing rooting , installing custom rom , unlocking bootloader...all stuff i have done with my old xperia phone.

How does It perform compared to your old phone?

as its contain snapdragon 720 its much faster and 6 gb ram even if i play pubg max ram usage was in asus was 3.9 ram so 6gb is much and mmuch enough , i dont know why people are going for 8gb and 12gb its damm high all about money...and upcoming android may use more ram .. but i can say my asus was having pure android stock , but redmi,sony.samsumg has there own modified theme and lot of features.. so i can say they can go behond 4 gb ///: for stock android : 6gb ram is equal to 8 gb...

If I had a secondary phone, I'd also be doing the same- modifying It to the max.

i was not in the mood of buying redmi at all ... my mood was on oneplus ...but suddenly all this battery issue happened..and my family always on why so expensive... so thats why i go for redmi...because its no1 in india , i thought lets try it out why Indian are crazy... one thing i can say china is very smart in technology ...it make very great stuff in such low price... it just opposite you can say to iphone , haha like iphone is expensive and good in camera , china do opposite stuff .. it will convert any expensive thing in low bugget... like sony oled tv price : 5000$ so china will clone it to 2000$ with same feature same thing... thats why it s popular in india , and redmi also give features like ir blaster which you can control tv , fridge etc like a remote. yesterday only i test it...
