It's to do with the quoting system. I quoted you, then you quoted me (with the earlier quote included) and it gives an alert that you've quoted yourself. It is a tad irritating.

When I awake to 30+ notifications each day, the last thing I need Is to answer to myself.

It makes you feel popular for about 3 seconds when you have multiple alerts... Then, you click on them and discover half of them are just you, quoting yourself.
