I think this has something to do with the memories/information stored in our long term memory banks and our short terms. Your brain can somewhat realize that you know the answer, but it can't retrieve it at that very moment. I've had moments like these, and I usually end up remembering within a few days.

Any ways, I'm no expert. Just my opinion
