I always wondered this.
If I want to say this phrase to a boy or girl:
"Can you tell your mother to get some food, also don't forget to ask your brother for the money"
It should be: "Pouvez-vous dire à ta mère d'aller chercher de la nourriture, n'oubliez pas de demander de l'argent à ton frère."
Now the question is those ta and ton, should it be feminine or masculine? Because his mother is a woman and his brother a man. Or should you look to who you're telling it to? Like if it's a girl only use ta?
