Going on a basis for the UK where I'm from, average monthly earnings before tax hover around the $2,000 mark (with current exchange rate). So $5K seems an enormous wage to me. $60k per year sounds more than comfortable to me. However, we have the NHS and aren't paying out of pocket for tuition at university (to some extent).
tl;dr - It really depends, but $5k seems significantly more than comfortable from my perspective.
Well, an average restaurant/"unskilled" labor worker makes $20-30k a year.
People with degrees and in jobs like accounting, finance, etc make $40-70k as starters.
So for me personally I think the $4k-5k is a comfortable range (not a lot per se).
Again, that really depends on location/country etc. I'm assuming by restaurant you mean an actual restaurant, as opposed to fast food joint? I can't say I know anyone making that in a restaurant of any kind where I live - Not to say it doesn't happen, but that's a relatively high end salary for entry level work.
yeah, real one. yea this girl that i used to be close with would make a killing with tips she made a preety decent amount at the restaurant she work in. but true i do feel it depends in the location. learn that in virginia in the states, the cost of living is cheap but making money at a fast food joint or restaurant.. doesnt receive great pay like it would in NY or somewhere and living isnt quit expense in the midwest not so bad but eastern or western quit a hassel i feel in the US
