So, forgive my noobness, but every time I try to download from these links, they seem to reroute me to VPN stuff of which I do not need. I have my own and it works fine, for free, and I still have no clue how to get this to download.
Any ideas?

Well that's because it's a torrent site. Torrent sited are inherently sketchy like that. Just try and block pop-ups on your browser and make sure you don't click on a download button that's actually an ad.
