Do you color calibrate your monitors? Why or why not? 06-23-2019, 10:31 AM

Just acquired an IPS monitor the other day and I couldn't help but notice how different the colors looked when I set it all up, to my astonishment. At first, I thought it had to do with my vision and age, but that wasn't the case. When I looked at the various viewing angles, this became even more obvious. It really led me to consider monitor calibration after acquiring my new IPS monitor, now I'm on the fence of deciding whether I should calibrate my monitor or not.
Has anyone manually calibrated their monitor's color and noticed an appreciable boost in visual quality? Ease of use? Ease of staring at for a long time without getting tired eyes? Any other unexpected benefit that came from it?
