Malwarebytes Premium is now a full anti-virus with protection from malware, adware, spyware, ransomware, and rootkits as well. It also protects you in all web browsers by blocking you from going to known bad websites where bad stuff lies.

You don't need Avast or any other anti-virus except Malwarebytes Premium (the paid version which protects your computer from bootup to shut down).

Make sure to download the latest version from their website.

I certainly agree, that MBAM should be an essential element In one's security package. It's still best to run It alongside an AV.

There's a few Infections that It does fail to detect & remove, such as file Infectors, of which traditional AVs do.
