As someone that's moved a dozen times and lived in multiple countries, I know the feeling. You'll form new habits, socialize with new people, and adjust over time. Might be overwhelming at first, but it's best to stay busy, and eventually you'll get used to things. I've found that it normally takes a few months to fully settle in. If you're only an hour away you can always go visit.

I was planning on moving to another city for my master's and now I've decided to just stick here and commute to my current school and do it there instead.  I don't wanna go through this process again lol

If I were In your position, I'd do the very same.

I'm not the type who enjoys moving and adapting to changes.
