For advanced virtualization, I just fire the Virtualbox and throw anything highly suspicious.

Basically any file you're unsure of at the time.

When deemed safe, transfer It to your main box via a clean Isolated USB stick. Advanced malware can circumvent the virtual environment, hence It's good practice to run the Guest OS on a dedicated Host physical machine, segregated (If need be) from the network.

I agree with your response. But, I've had no issues testing few viruses on Qubes OS.
