MBAM has been around as far as I can remember and In my views, It's certainly worth Installing.

It's not classed as an AV per se, so you can run It alongside any Antivirus without compatibility Issues. Be mindful that due to the fact that Malwarebytes also detects a broad range of viruses (and obviously malware), It's not as effective as an AV. The latter focuses on specifics, hence an Antivirus' detection rate Is far better.
