I used to use Norton, but I have recently been using the free version of Malwarebytes. How about yourself?

Do note (as you're most likely aware), MBAM Is not an AV.

Until a few years ago, I was much the same with Norton. I remember back In the days of using the bloated Norton SystemWorks which, by memory, I believe was around 2003. Nowadays, on my malware lab, VMs and test physical machines, I don't use any for obvious reasons. For day-to-day navigation, Avast serves me well.

Yes, Malwarebytes is not an antivirus, but I think that it is better than having no protection at all. I am still considering purchasing another antivirus. If Avast is as good as you say it is, I might go down that route, as well.  

I agree with Malwarebytes. It can also run alongside any AV with no compatibility Issues.

Should you opt for Avast, I'm sure you'll be very happy with It.
