VM's are quite slow. My laptop doesnt have another RAM slot atm.

If you find the right distro, you can run a VM that takes less than 70MB of RAM. Linux can run on like 40.

Look up 'Alpine Linux' to see what I mean.

Don't use Ubuntu.
