Is the Installation process quick and simple with very little user-Intervention?

Yes it is, I've installed it on my RaspberryPi in 20 minutes, I'm sure you can do it faster with a better internet connection.
The process was as simple as:

As @Pikami said , the install can be really fast depending on your internet connection. I have mine installed on my family's MacBook so depending on the os, you will get different results.
