I'm not too thrilled about nearly everything being circular, and what isn't (e.g. the borders of section containers) reeeally doesn't look right.

As with everything, "balance" Is the key for a healthy and/or successful result. I always try to find an equilibrium with everything I do.
In my views, I believe the GUI Is an overkill.
