You've used the term "addiction" In the proper context here, whereby as with yourself, dreaming about data justifies the addiction. I'm the type that If something doesn't go right (example, a script/code) I'll analyze  and correct It- even If It takes all night.

Sounds like you might have a touch of OCD! I've sailed that boat before too. The only way to really deal with that is to force yourself to unplug for awhile. It's a lot like patience, it's a virtue.
