I made an account, I ranted about how ugly site looked and gave suggestions, got flamed, but Omni was chill af and informed me that the site was going to update its theme. While the members were assholes, Omni is a pretty cool guy too me, and I've heard a lot of shit about him. As far as the site goes i haven't really dabbed into the resources, just wanted to see other designers and the market for graphics, learn what others charge, the forum's economy, etc.

There is a decent market for graphics if you are better than most, although the market on Hackforums is the second shittiest section right after the lounge. I am also not sure why omni gets the hate he does as he makes a living off the website so he is obviously going to do what is in his interest.

The graphics market has VERY low standards. I've seen a few shops with lq designs, high prices, and a ton of vouches.

That's how I saw it last time. I actually don't charge much. I charged $15 for 5 HQ userbars one time, which is a pretty darn good deal. I've heard of userbars being sold for $50, $100, and ridiculous prices. I think there was a contest that awarded winner $150 on HF.

Yea, because groups on HF are worth upwards of 5k last time I saw and around 13k at peak, userbars fetch a high value.

Shit. I wouldn't mind making userbars for groups over there.

That's actually pretty cheap for 5 UB's. But $50 is far too much. Most of the time they're just recolors with different text.
