I hate that you sit there so upset. Every day I come to visit you, you always give me a look of sadness. Your eyes reveal more than your words could ever compensate for. The imagery cut crystal clear in order to remind me that the reason you don't speak is to hide that pain. You were always such a kind and helpful person. You can see it from the lack of care in yourself. Your hair is grown out, your facial hair is scraggly and your teeth aren't as white as they used to be.

Why do you do that? You allow yourself to degrade and to help others. Don't you see how important you are? Perhaps you don't care. Perhaps your reason for living to this day is to see out others' happiness. Your eyes remind me that you had a past of hurt. You would tell me about your stories and cry at times, with nobody to hold you. I wish I was there to have your back. If I was, maybe you wouldn't have felt so broken. Maybe you would have. You told me how you had people who supported you but you couldn't find the strength to admit to them about these feelings. I was the only exception because you saw yourself in me.

I promise I'll help you through this all. You were always so expressive! You had creativity like no other and you had a drive that would do so much good if it wasn't hidden behind such obstacles. Every time I see you, I know you are capable of so much more. Stand up and allow yourself to fight. I promise you, there is so much in this world to live for. Please believe in me. Every time I see you in the morning, I will remind you of this. Until then, I'll have your back and support you.

Your best friend on the other side of the mirror,
Kro

So... what're your opinions? I wrote this when I was by myself and going through some depression. I find writing is my way of coping. And yes, I did change my name out with Kro.
