I just learned that we have a lot of illiterate people on this site that seem to think "learnt" is an English word.

Or you just don't know anything about "English" Learnt is a word. It's the same for Spelled-Spelt or Dreamed-Dreamt.

Spelt is not a word. Learnt and learned is a pretty controversial debate, but if you look for it in the dictionary, it won't be there. Therefore it's not a word, at least not to me. Also, I know a decent amount about English. I don't know where you get the idea that I don't.
