Ubuntu's not a bad first choice ( I mean, the colors make my eyes bleed, but that's OK)
Why is it impossible to get back to windows? Legit bootloader trouble or have you totally come to the Dark Side and never want to see that botnet again?
EDIT: running some commands i found this Found Windows 10 (loader) on /dev/sda1
the command i ran was this:
sudo apt-get install os-prober
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
being a linux noob i have no idea what that really did, i have an idea but this is what i found to do via google
Edit once again: That command actually fixed everything
