but i'm using oracle VM virtualbox, i'm currently running windows, do i have to download the windows version or download the linux version, its kind of a paradox in my mind lol

The VM Is what Linux will run on, meaning you will be Installing Linux "on" the VM.

You need to download the Windows version of VirtualBox, Install It on your Windows physical system and then Install Linux on the VM. Linux will come In an ISO file, so once VirtualBox Is Installed, simply browse the directory of the ISO file (via VirtualBox), "mount" It and proceed with the Installation process.

Thank you, that's what i thought, but if theirs one thing i learned with coding and just using computers is that if its too easy something might not be right lol especially with coding lol
