No... Cops are individuals whom should have gone through enough training to realize that they have to restrain themselves enough to not shoot people if unwarranted. Thankfully, a very small minority of cops do this. But those who have this god-complex are incredibly dangerous people.

I do agree with you. I was just stating that they are prone to the same dangerous thinking. Because of their profession they should be less inclined and normally cops are people who are interested in helping others.

I second this man. Most cops are degenerates. Cut the "we need police" bullshit out and they are scummy bastards. My dad hasn't gotten a speeding ticket in 30 years of driving and just because we were 10km over the speed limit we got nailed, luckily it was reduced so no demerit points (fucking Canadian justice system eh?). I have also been lied to and beat by police on several occasions, if anyone is that interested I can post stories about it. I am a 21 Caucasian male that could probably convince any hacker/social engineer./whatever you are of any age, race or even gender that police are in general - uncool. I guess if you have a family member that is a police officer then all the power to ya I guess.

I'm sorry you've had such a bad time. I have to say, in my experience, the exact opposite is true. Most are good people, with the few assholes. I'm not blaming you, and maybe in the area you're in it is that bad. I hope it changes very soon if that's the case. I have go somewhat distant relatives and friends who are cops and they're some of the hardest working, nicest people I've ever met. However, they were also from not bad areas, so that may have a part to play. Sometimes I think the system can be too limiting or too harsh as well. Penalties for cyber crime are a joke to penalties to more physical, violent crimes. Justice... It's not a simple matter of morals now. Imo it's politics and bureaucratic as it could be. Still, I'd rather have police than not. The chance of negative effects from having police probably is greatly lower than the chance of positive effects on average. I've not researched this, but I highly doubt it's not the case.

My philosophy is that as time went on our species has evolved into believing we need big men in suits to protect us but hey whatever floats our boats right

To be honest, haven't we always had this kind of society makeup? The men used to be the protectors in our tribal era. There was always a hierarchy with a chief leading us. This isn't a new thing, humanity has always done this.
