It's more of a subtle "dislike" most of the time.
What do you even mean. Hate is a stronger term than dislike in anyone's book.
Is it the same when you say you love something? Do you actually love it? Or is it just a filler? I love spaghetti, it's my favorite food. But I could live without it.
I've heard plenty of people say they hate something, and really just mean dislike. I was having a conversation with someone the other day about something similar, and we ended up coming to the same conclusion. Not everyone uses the same definition for the word.
