Because they are complex machines, it is a ton of little things together that would keep it from derailing.

Yes, that's evident. I certainly agree.

However, those who created the complex machine, should know It's complexity well enough to maintain It In a safe and functional form. Generally speaking (not aimed at you), It's simply not acceptable to say "Because It's a complex machine, we cannot maintain It, thus cannot reassure It's safety".

Along the lines of complex, they should at least do a full check and detailed check everyday to make sure that they are as safe as they are. But instead they give it a quick once over by sending one ride out with no one on it then say it's safe.
