Just there, @"Saya" was trying to say something meaningful. Whether right or wrong, the intention was to be meaningful. How did you respond? "Good time to insert some quote you heard from your elementary school teacher."
As I don't know you, I can say that, that certainly sounded like you were being an asshole. People are sensitive, and hypersensitive, but regardless of how sensitive they are, sometimes people can't or don't want to put up with your shit (not just yours, anybody's. Not trying to target you specifically, not in this sentence anyways). People respond in different ways, so some people get offended, others may say "fuck you, we're done talking", and some may not respond at all.
so i guess the lesson to be learned is to learn how to manage one's anger
If I interpreted @"Stocking"'s reply correctly, that's not what they were trying to convey. Yes, people are sensitive, and some need to learn how to roll with the punches more effectively, but nobody's blameless in these kinds of situations.
To bring up an old quote from every teacher I've ever had, "think before you post." While it may seem stupid and unnecessary, taking that 5-10 seconds just to reflect on what you're putting out for open interpretation to a fairly large community could save you a lot of grief and backlash.
Which teacher did you have that said think before you post? Curious.
