In reality the use of public restrooms is far more of a safety issue for trans people than it is for non-trans people in the next stall.

Trans women have the highest murder rates out of any demographic especially non-white trans women and a very high chance of being assaulted or harassed compared to cis women.

TBH i'm pretty much terrified to use any kind of public bathroom now because of how big of a deal this is being made by cissies and because of transphobic people like the ones in this thread-- yes im a trans girl

FYI for the peanuts that are talking about chromosomes and saying chromosomes determine gender you are wrong chromosomes determine sex for the most part and even then they dont 100% always result in the formation of the atypical genitals. There are XX people born male sex and XY people born female sex like de la Chapelle syndrome and Swyer syndrome.

Gender identity is determined by the sexually dimorphic regions of the brain such as the the third interstitial nucleus of the anterior hypothalamus and the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis. The volume and neuron count in these regions always matches within the range normally found in people with the cis gender that these trans people identify with.

I am not trans myself but I have one or two friends who are. I understand why people don't understand it and have had many heated debates with friends and family about it. I do not understand all the hate that's generated around it.
