Too be honest arch is probably the best too start on

I disagree.

Arch is a great distro, don't get me wrong. But for someone totally new to the linux world, it's probably best to get used the the command line and all of it's quirks before moving on to Arch. Arch, I feel, is too easy to break/not maintain correctly that it might be overwhelming for a user new to linux.

In that respect, if someone really wants to start with Arch, I'd recommend them Manjaro. It's basically arch but simpler, and better for someone to get used to the Linux Environment before moving on to Arch itself.

Although if you already have Linux experience and would feel comfortable with Arch, by all means go for it.

But if you're coming straight from Windows with little/no previous linux experience, it's probably better not to get ahead of yourself
