Borderlands 2’s developer, Gearbox, recently unveiled a new vault hunter at the SXSW event that is held annually in Austin, Texas during Spring Break. The new vault hunter is coming to this major RPG game, but not in as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass. In the trailer presented during the panel, it announced that “Bandits beware; a new vault hunter is coming. Mayhem awaits”. A Gearbox representative also unveiled that there will be a second add–on character. Unfortunately, the developer didn’t provide enough of a description to gain a vivid image of the new character. However, the small amount of information that was provided, did hint that the second character would be melee focused. During this panel, the franchise director Matt Armstrong announced that “DLC is announced on a very tight schedule, and I don’t think you’ll have to wait long until you see the character”.

According to Borderland’s 2 developers, fans have nothing to worry about. Gearbox told IGN back in December of 2012, that they have no plans for stopping the production of new downloadable content. Also announced was the possibility that Gearbox could offer another content season, provided their fans support it.
