Just looked at some screenshots, and ME sounds pretty right. We had 2-3 computers back during the time where large and beige was the style.

Sure they fuckup more often than they get it right. But what you're suggesting they do is exactly what they are attempting to do. lol
Yeah, you're right. Windows 8 attempted to appeal to those who prefer tablets (although failed imo) and Windows 10 sounds like it has tiny perks here and there (although buggy and invasive). People tend to judge things with half truth and half feeling (myself included, of course)
