I disagree. It is possible to Hijack the device when it's connected to the home WIFI. After hijacking the device you can upload a malicious .apk file to the phone and execute it. Than you could use a RAT for listening and intercepting messages from the phone. You could even send a malicious file through bluetooth.

Yes , obviously In that sense It can be done. That said, why would you go through the trouble of such tasks when the device Is well within physical reach? You can simply physically Install the monitoring software.

What I meant by "remote", was the cell phone not being anywhere within the confines of the attacker- not within the same wireless network or range via Bluetooth.
