I don't personally have any military background but I've had a bunch of friends in different branches of the armed forces. Around 5 years ago I fixed a friend's laptop after he got back from Iran after serving in the Marines, it was loaded with viruses. He told me that a bunch of people there took videos and shared videos and pictures and he had a bunch of them on his hard drive and that if I got curious I should look at them. I saw some crazy shit ,and although that's as close as I'll ever be to experiencing war for myself I still could never imagine what it would actually be like. Good luck and be safe.
