I haven't watched the video so I don't know the context.
However, the "deadly force" would be the peace officer (yes that's what they are suppose to be) firing his weapon. If that officer reasonably and genuinely believed himself or another person to be in immediate danger of great bodily harm or death, he would be found to have acted in a justifiable manner. The same holds true to an armed citizen using their firearm in self defense.
