Its funny I came across this thread, because I have the same habit *cough* paranoia *cough*. I have a cheaper pair of headphones that leaks sound quite badly if its too loud, so I always take off the headphone set and move it farther and closer away to see if I can hear any noise leaking; I adjust my volume accordingly...
I even do it when I'm alone...
Is that paranoia or is that paranoia?...
My biggest fear, it still sounds like its playing in your ears even if it is unplugged.

The bad thing was, I was watching YouTube of a stand-up comedian where every second word was f**king. The young children's parents didn't appreciate It much at all. Now I make sure they're fully Inserted Into my cell phone each time.
