I agree with u ! Designing doesnt mean u just put effects on something...loook my work they are simple but give u some idea

I can barely read the text.
Also its not much of a design in my opinion since its a downloaded pattern along with a text.

The best designs are the designs that work.
In other words you should pay more attention to the concept of the design rather then the things you have used.
