As an avid MMO/MMORPG player I recommend the following games:

MMORPG:
TERA - Amazing take on MMORPG gaming with a unique combat system
Lineage 2 - Played this for 8-9 years. TERA's development team was originally L2's dev team, many similarities, more of a traditional MMORPG, great graphics.

MMO/MOBA:
DoTA 2
League of Legends
Team Fortress 2
Counterstrike: Source - Global Offense is just a retexture of CSS. Plus I prefer older graphics
Garry's Mod - Plenty of things to do and explore.

Yeah theres definantly a lot of games out there For MOBA theres also HoN and i doubt Garry's mod is a MMO or a MOBA game.. It's more like minecraft but a lot more fun and you can build cooler things

GMOD is a MMO by definition. MMO is Massively Multiplayer Online game. Which GMOD fits right into, as it has a massive multiplayer community. Only two MOBA's are LoL and DoTA. I've never played HoN but I listened to the Flamboyant Announcer and thought it was hilarious xD
