Formatting doesn't solve ram or processor root kits.

OP, so you mean to tell me you can use wireshark but you are unable to use basic AV software?

Ram/processor rootkits are pretty uncommon. I highly doubt the original poster has one. Formatting and reinstalling will probably do the trick. Scanning is always the best option first.
