I strongly disagree with this statement~

Okay so take sex away and what are you left with? a friend. maybe a housemate you split the bills with. but thats only if you're not in a long distance relationship.

Whether you agree with it or not - sex and procreation are the primary reasons for the type of relationship you are talking about. If theres none of that, then she's just a friend.
