I guess I'll throw another one out. This is aimed towards pets.
- Pets (in general)
When washing your pet, it's a good idea to cover their eyes, even if you aren't using soap to wash them. If you have a small pet, say no bigger than 2 feet in length/height, make the water come out in the smallest amount as possible, yet at a good speed. This saves money, and you'd be surprised by how much.
- Pets (Specifically geckos)
And since I have a gecko, here's something for other gecko owners.
Don't play with your gecko too much. They are very relaxed most of the time, when they are messed around with too much, it scares them. You can play with it every now and then, but if you do, don't make it run or anything like that. Let it free in your room on your bed or something. Keep good watch of them, too. They are fast when they want to be. Also, don't hold them in positions that fold their body, such as making them hold on to your thumb but their lower body half is pretty much bent like a piece of paper. This hurts them, and you will know because of the small clicking-like sound that they make.
And don't freak out if they bite you. If they bite you in the first place, it;s probably because they are defending themselves. They think you might be a threat. Refer to the above advice.
