Before and After Bed

- If you set your alarm clock farther from your bed, you'll be forced to get out of bed to turn it off, rather than hitting snooze/turning it off half-awake and risking oversleeping.

I already do this, but someplaces I have problems with finding a power-plug at a suitable distance apart.

Restaurants

- When ordering at a restaurant that has a soda machine for the public, order the kids' cup/smallest one. There's no point in getting anything larger and spending money, when you can get unlimited refills.

- If you're ordering french fries and want a fresh batch cooked on the spot, ask for it without salt. They'll make a hot, new bunch and you can add your own salt as you want it.

- If you visit a certain restaurant often, try making friends with the employees there. You'll get great benefits such as discounts, and even free food occasionally.

1. You get infinite refills? As in that's the restaurant's policy, or just take some?
Because I know here in Europe it's not the policy in most places.

Social

- Some of the indicators that someone may be lying to you are shifting eyes when you look at them directly, fidgeting fingers or hiding their hands from sight. Don't assume that doing one or more of these things means they are, but note it's more often than not.

- Don't be afraid to talk to new people. The worst case scenario is that they'll be busy and brush you off. If you don't know what to say, just do simple small talk - "Hey, how are you?", "What do you do/what do you study?". Eventually you'll have common ground on a subject you're both interested in and you'll hit it off from there.

1. That depends on two things - the person, and the way they're looking. Looking down (usually) means that they're thinking about their emotions / emotional things, whereas looking up means visual qualities (such as imagining objects, etc.) Looking to the Right would be creative, and Left memory. *HOWEVER: note that for some people these quantities are inverted*

2. This depends on the country/culture. In northern countries, it might be intrusive, and seen as unpolite. However, if you know the culture, and it's okay, go ahead, never a bad idea.

SOCIAL:

Try to look into people's eyes, whenever talking, or even walking down a street. You'll seem more confident.

Always try to keep good posture, same reason as above.

In class, wire your phone through your hoodie, making the ear buds go under the bottom, all the way back through the top, and through the sleeve. Then, hold a single bud in your hand and put it up against your cheek as if you were bored in class.
Make sure the volume isn't too loud, or someone else might here and report you. Also, make sure your ringer is off. Seriously, if you're going to have your phone on and in use, do it strategically.

and DO NOT start headbanging/moving to the music. Not a good Idea.
