It'd have to be seven or eight now... I started young.
I'll try to recollect what got me into this stuff but it's fuzzy.
What drove you to the technical side?
Originally I was a poor gamer, so I was all about system optimization. This is what got me into tech stuff in general.
Why did you continue doing it, and why haven't you stopped?
It was entertaining and I learned something new everyday. Eventually I went to the darker side of things, somehow entirely skipping the HackForums phase (that would come later, when Zeekill and I decided to troll them... such a shame Zeekill turned into a bad guy.)
How long did you spend your time getting to the skill level you're at right now?
Seven or eight years.
Do you see yourself doing this as a career if not already, and do you see yourself doing it for a majority of your life?
Absolutely. I've already had a few "jobs" relating to security. I worked with Avante Hosting for a while, doing a few different things for them.
If someone told you that they wanted to start hacking, what would you tell them?
If I hear that one more fucking time I'll punch your face until your face comes out the other end of your face. You don't "start hacking". You start learning and hack later.

What do you mean when Zeekill turned into a bad guy?

The ability to manipulate, change and control something is awesome.
Why did you continue doing it, and why haven't you stopped?
It's like a puzzle, I'm addicted to figuring out puzzles, I can't help myself but want to do it. For social engineering i enjoy the buzz of getting away with it.
How long did you spend your time getting to the skill level you're at right now?
At social engineering I would say a couple of years, as a programmer I haven't been programming in non-web languages for very long and as for being a hacker, well I have no skills in that sense.
Do you see yourself doing this as a career if not already, and do you see yourself doing it for a majority of your life?
I would love to do this for the rest of my life but I would not do it for a career, it wouldn't feel the same.
If someone told you that they wanted to start hacking, what would you tell them?
Learn to program first.
Nice responses, thanks a lot for the reply.
