Express rage, try to instill fear, seem cool, bluff, etc. Multiple reasons why someone would threaten someone else over something stupid on a forum. & when you're used to having to deal with 13 year olds who think they're the top shit because they know a little bit of "hacking", very hard to tell the difference between a backhanded joke and someone raging about practically nothing.
