Hm, it's a really interesting theory.
However, I believe the end of the world will be as it is from biblical perception; 7 years after the rise of a politician from New Babylon (common day Rome), the world will finally end.
If the 21st IS indeed the BEGINNING of the end of the world, then we still have 7 years to live, where 3.5 of those years will be peaceful, and 3.5 of the years will be in utter turmoil.
I don't believe there will be a third world war in the first half of the 7 years, but the second half will consist of many disruptions in the reign of the so-called Antichrist (example being certain countries not complying with his demands).
