I don't think it's people vs other people, I honestly think it's just the game.

Ever since the update, I've been getting them too.

When I got one, I was just flying a plane, when my friend got one, he wasn't doing anything.

Nevertheless, hope this gets fixed, it's very annoying, especially when you're in the middle of a mission.
