I think that there are times when its a bit, um, pointless. Unless you're made of money you cannot really enjoy a relationship that is long distance like the one that you're keeping w/ Jiggly.

Well, it depends. In relationships like these, both people have to make sacrifices for them to work. I'm not made of money, unfortunately, and we were originally going to split the cost of her ticket. Without a doubt, it's a lot easier to make things work if you're affluent. However, I'd argue that wealth isn't exactly required. With that being said, you could also meet someone in your area, or a couple of states away.
