It sounds to me, (I'm no pro), that you have bad sectors in the hard drive. Before going to the extreme's of messing with components. Test the Hard drive for bad sectors. You can do this with a Check disk scan. Via Command Prompt. Just type "chkdsk (Drive letter)". Then if it doesn't find anything. Check for Registry errors. You can use a program such as CCleaner. (My personal choice), and make sure there's not any bad Registry keys on Windows. Then if you can rule that out. Do a Memory test on the ram. If you can rule all that out. Check to make sure all your Drivers are up to date, and that None of them are corrupted. Corrupted GFX drivers can cause the issue you're describing. If that doesn't work. Get a volt meter and test each individual component to make sure the component is running at max speed and working properly. If None of that works.
