I see what you mean, but no, I don't think this would work.
I get the concept, but it would come down to people's personal beliefs. The whole "seeing is believing" would come into play. I personally have never seen a ghost, so I would say that they don't exist. However, I know of people who have. I'm not one who believes in that I have to see something to be true, but many other humans do.
It maybe helps a little, but probably not enough if someone was to get into a debate about it.
