The 10 commandments are in many religions including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and a few more. While I understand why you would not want to become a religious person, I would liek to point a few things out.

1)

When the 10 commandments and the bible reference the term neighbor. They aren't using it in the way such as people in your neighborhood. They mean everyone else in the world.

2) Pride is meant as in showing off. Looking down upon people. You can take pride in your work etc. as that is not what is meant.

3) You don't 'shit' in heaven.

4) You have to ask forgiveness with sincerity. And you cannot be forgiven on your deathbed.

Apart from that, the last two paragraphs made me really think. Wow. You really have made some good points.
